Full Description

The plants of southern Dallas County White Rock Escarpment form a unique woodland community. Kennemer presents a quantitative assessment of the recorded taxa and their preferred habitats on the escarpment slopes. From the total of 53 woody and 77 herbaceous plants identified in the study, possible range extensions were indicated on several species. Habitat data revealed larger tree growth on north facing slopes, more species inhabiting upper slope positions, and critical species habitat relationships.
