Full Description

Registration for one attendee to the Pineywoods and Wildlife Landowner Workshop on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Coffee and snacks are included with registration. Workshop to be held 9:00 am - 12:15 pm at Pineywoods Native Plant Center, Brundrett Conservation Education Building, 2900 Raguet St, Nacogdoches, TX 75965.

Doors open: 8:30 am.

Program start: 9:00 am

  • The Pineywoods ecosystem
  • Pineywods pollinators
  • Planning a restoration project
  • Mechanical and chemical restoration tools
  • Prescribed fire planning
  • Conservation cost-share opportunities for private landowners
  • After the workshop, attendees are welcome to continue conversations over lunch nearby at Maklemore's Ale House & Bistro (lunch not included in registration)

 

Workshop hosted by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and US Fish & Wildlife Service, with additional support from USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Longleaf Team, and Fort Worth Botanic Garden

PARKING INFORMATION:
Attendees should park in the parking lot of the Early Childhood Research Center. This lot is "two doors" south of (about a 5-minute walk from) the Brundrett Conservation Education Building. A parking attendent will distribute a pass to display in your front windshield. Please arrive early enough to park and walk to the Brundrett Conservation Education Building.
